Jeramyl ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Jeramyl platform, including jeramyl.com and app.jeramyl.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it.
By using Jeramyl, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. We process your data only as needed to provide and improve the service.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the service, and limited data from third-party integrations.
Your name, email address, and password (stored as a securely hashed credential).
Business names, transaction records, income and expense entries, categories, and notes you input.
If you use OCR scanning, receipt images are processed temporarily to extract text and transaction details. Jeramyl does not retain the original image from OCR-only scans unless you choose to attach the receipt to a saved transaction, bill payment, or invoice payment. When a receipt is attached, we store it securely so you can view it later.
Names and transaction history you associate with customers inside the app.
Pages visited, features used, and timestamps, collected to improve the product.
Browser type, operating system, IP address, and referrer URL, collected automatically on each request.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data — including any data obtained through Google integrations — to train AI models. See the Google User Data & Limited Use section for full details on how Google user data is handled.
Jeramyl uses optical character recognition (OCR) and AI tools to help you capture and understand your financial data.
Jeramyl relies on trusted third-party infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, storage, and AI processing. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver the service and are required to protect user data.
If you enable the Google Drive integration, Jeramyl may copy stored receipt attachments and backup files to your connected Google Drive. Google Drive backup is optional and can be disconnected at any time from your account settings. Google's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy. For full details on all Google integrations, including Connected Gmail, see the Google Services & Gmail section below.
We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics platforms beyond what is described above.
Jeramyl may connect to Google services when a user explicitly chooses to enable them. Google integrations are optional and can be disconnected at any time from your account settings. For the full list of what Jeramyl does and does not do with Google user data, including strict prohibitions on advertising, selling, AI training, and data brokering, see the Google User Data and Limited Use section below.
If you enable the Google Drive integration, Jeramyl may copy receipt attachments and backup files to a folder in your connected Google Drive account, solely for backup and export purposes. You can disconnect this integration at any time. Disconnecting stops future backups but does not automatically delete files already copied to your Drive. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
On paid plans, users may optionally connect their Gmail or Google Workspace account to enable invoice follow-up reminders. When Connected Gmail is enabled, Jeramyl can send reminder emails on behalf of the user — but only when the user manually reviews the message and explicitly confirms sending. No email is sent automatically.
Jeramyl does not read Gmail inbox messages, email history, or contacts. The Gmail send permission is used only when the user actively triggers and confirms an outbound email. We do not store, analyze, or process your email inbox in any way.
Connected Gmail is optional. Users can disconnect it at any time from their account settings. Disconnecting immediately revokes Jeramyl's access to send emails on your behalf.
Jeramyl's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to what is necessary to provide the specific app functionality you requested. Jeramyl complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Plain statement: Jeramyl only uses Google user data to provide or improve user-facing Jeramyl features that you explicitly request. The specific features are: account sign-in, Google Drive backup, and Connected Gmail send. Google user data is not used for any other purpose.
If you sign in using Google, Jeramyl receives your Google account email address and name solely to identify and authenticate your account. This data is used only for login and account creation.
If you enable the Google Drive integration, Jeramyl writes receipt attachments and backup files to your Drive solely for the backup and export feature you enabled. Jeramyl does not read your Drive contents beyond what it has written.
If you connect Gmail on a paid plan, Jeramyl can send invoice follow-up emails on your behalf — but only when you manually review and explicitly confirm each message before it is sent. Jeramyl does not read your inbox, email history, or contacts in any way.
The following uses are strictly prohibited. Jeramyl does not, and will not:
Jeramyl does not transfer, share, or disclose Google user data to third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
When Jeramyl AI features process your user-provided business data — such as receipt extraction, summaries, or business insights — it is only to provide the requested Jeramyl feature. AI providers receive only the minimum data needed to complete that task. Google user data is not used to train AI models and is not provided to AI providers for model training purposes.
Jeramyl keeps Google user data only for as long as necessary to provide or improve the feature you requested, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain security. Specifically:
You can disconnect any Google integration at any time from your account settings. You can request deletion of your Jeramyl account and all associated data by contacting support@jeramyl.com. Account data is deleted within 30 days of a confirmed deletion request. When Google user data is no longer needed to provide the requested feature or fulfill any of the retention purposes above, it is deleted or anonymized.
Jeramyl uses reasonable security safeguards to protect Google user data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss. Specific measures include:
Payments for Jeramyl subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as Merchant of Record.
When you make a purchase, Paddle may collect:
Jeramyl does not store payment card details. Payment information is handled securely by Paddle. For more information, see Paddle's buyer terms.
Your data is stored using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). We implement row-level security policies so that your data is only accessible by your authenticated account. No Jeramyl employee has routine access to your individual business records.
Receipt images are stored only when you attach them to a saved record such as a transaction, paid bill, or paid invoice. OCR-only scans are processed in memory to extract text and are not retained as original image files. Stored receipt attachments are secured with access restricted to your account.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days, except where required by law to retain records longer.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Update or correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Export your transaction and business data from within the app.
Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@jeramyl.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Jeramyl uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Jeramyl is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at support@jeramyl.com and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice before the change takes effect.
Continued use of Jeramyl after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
